I believe that security done well can help our clients balance the trade-off between new and exciting opportunities and the risk for their businesses. Professionally, I thrive on solving big hairy problems.

Outside of work, I’m kept busy with my family (my lovely wife, three kids and two dogs), woodworking, coaching my kids football team and a perpetual cycle of home DIY.

Working for diverse organisations throughout my career and my emotional engagement with work, transformed information security to become a passion for me, rather than a job. I am a big fan of pragmatic, simple and automation approaches, and enjoy supporting our clients on their security journey.

Talk to me about motorcycles, squash or football, and you will find passion that compares to, but cannot compete against information security.

My role at Axenic combines my love of people, process and business management, and allows me to work in a team filled with passionate, knowledgeable and motivated people.

Outside of work I love spending time with my wonderful family and friends. I am a regular gym goer, to offset my interest in cooking and wine. I’m a keen traveller and explorer and always like to have a new adventure on the radar.

With over 15 years of project delivery experience across a diverse range of projects and organisations, I bring a practical and personable approach to my work. I believe in having solid systems and processes in place, with a pragmatic application that always prioritises the end result. My focus on clear communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, from clients to team members to vendors ensures project goals are met on time and within budget. Outside of work, you will usually find me reading something Sci-fi or Fantasy related, gaming, or spending time with my young family. We love to travel and explore and always have our next adventure planned - ask me what I'm doing next!

Hey, I'm Faezeh. I love organising and planning so much I get called Monica from “Friends”! After seven years in health care I decided to change my career and follow my passion to work within project management. I started to build my skills and experience in the public sector and I now have a great opportunity to apply them here in my work for Axenic. Outside of work I like to keep active biking around Wellington or bouldering. If you can't find me doing those things you'll find me with a plate of food, my greatest love in life.

With a versatile background in project coordination and management, technical writing and human resources, I bring a holistic perspective to InfoSec project coordination. I'm adaptable to new environments and different project methodologies with stakeholder management skills, facilitating understanding and alignment among cross-functional teams, which makes me ideal for embedding with our clients to support their projects. Outside of work I enjoy gaming, rambles with my dogs, kayaking and working on personal research projects.

I like to take the time to understand context of the client so that the security services I deliver will meet their outcomes, as I don’t believe that security should be reduced to a tick-in-the-box exercise.

I enjoy playing football, watching sports with my cat (go the Hurricanes!), spending hours war gaming with my friends, and tinkering with computers and cars.

I’m passionate about helping our customers, big and small, continuously improve their information security maturity by providing useful and realistic guidance to give them confidence making business decisions. Whether this is as a virtual CISO or auditing an organisation against an international standard, the advice I offer is tailored and relevant to the people that need to hear and understand it.

Away from work you’ll usually find me painting (things not art), making or planning something and hanging out with my family. Closely followed by relaxing with a good book or binge watching the latest crime/thriller/drama.

These days security is critical to business success and I’m passionate about using security to help our customers achieve their goals. I have extensive experience of enterprise IT, in solution design and delivery as well as in IT strategy and planning and I can bring that experience to bear on fitting security into an organisation’s plans, architectures and projects.

I’m a voracious reader – usually having 6 or 7 books on the go at any one time. To balance that out I like to go for long walks or bike rides in the NZ countryside with my family. I also like overseas travel – particularly in the Pacific where I love snorkelling (NZ is far too cold!).

During my 20 + years spent working in the security industry I’ve been fortunate to witness significant innovation and growth. I am a lifetime student of all things security and know that I will need to continuously learn and grow in order to keep pace with that innovation. The various roles I have performed, both past and current, have all helped me understand how to best support stakeholders, whether they are shareholders, customers, team members or industry players.

Life is good when you get to do the things that you are passionate about 24/7. I am so very fortunate to be a husband, father, farmer, student and a DIY mechanic.

With information becoming such an important part of everyone’s lives, we need to go to great lengths to protect it. I take pride in knowing I am able to protect the information of our clients through my work. Working in security has been a passion for much of the past decade, with building knowledge and educating others a priority for the future.

Outside work I love spending time with my wife and two daughters, playing badminton or running calories off (acquired through my other passion, eating!). A Mechanical Engineer by education, I also enjoy tinkering with everything from my kids’ toys and stuff around the house, to the classic Volkswagen Beetle I have back in my hometown.

I am passionate about security evolution, specifically the risks affiliated with high-performance applications developed for end-users. This passion has led me to gain knowledge and apply my expertise to help customers develop and enhance their information security controls. Also, it led me to a Doctoral specialization in preserving the security and privacy of the Internet of things (IoT) data in Fog computing. I believe in lifelong learning and am an avid admirer of the quote: “If you think you know-it-all about cybersecurity, this discipline was probably ill-explained to you – Stephane Nappo”. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running and watching historical dramas with my family.

I believe that information security isn't something you buy, it's something you do, and it takes talented and knowledgeable people to do it right. My passion for information security has been a driving force in my career over the past 15 years. Outside of work I love spending time with my wife and three daughters, playing and watching cricket. I also love singing and playing guitar during my free time.

My philosophy serves as the bedrock of my professional journey. I firmly believe that effective compliance and proactive risk management are the cornerstones of organizational success, and technology is a tool that facilitates it. With over 15 years of experience in information security, risk management, and digital transformation, I am passionate about the value I bring to clients, and I take pride in their satisfaction. During my weekends, I cherish the quality time spent with my spouse and two boys. I have a keen interest in Salsa, bachata, and other forms of Latin dances, as well as a love for reading, particularly astronomy-related books.

I use my extensive technology and consulting background in cybersecurity to enable people and businesses to thrive, applying meaningful business changes rather than just new tools. I balance my time with making furniture at home or working on some other type of creative project.

My interest in information security comes from observing organisations’ accelerating digital adoptions.   With so many malicious actions out there, I am concerned about helping New Zealanders do their due diligence in protecting their new digital assets.

When I’m not at work, I like to crank out a tune either on my stereo or instruments, play games with my friends or friendly strangers, get on my bike, read, cook, garden, or just binge TV.

My genuine and longstanding interest in the information security space keeps me motivated to continuously improve and enhance my knowledge in this field. I’m now pursuing my passion at Axenic to specialise in governance, risk and assurance, to focus on enhancing the security posture for our clients.

In my downtime you will find me playing some sort of sport, participating in theatre or travelling around Aotearoa!

I’ve been drawn to information security as my career as I recognise businesses require robust guidance on how they can achieve their information security goals (and secure their most vital assets). My role gives me the chance to do this by focusing on balancing both the opportunities, and potential impacts, that technologies have on their business. In my free time, I like to experiment in my kitchen and try out new cuisines with my family and friends. While I am not indulging my love for food, I enjoy hanging out with my wife and daughter exploring all that Wellington has to offer.

As an Information Security Consultant, I focus on helping organisations understand and use the right strategies to protect their information. By encouraging a proactive approach to security, through my role at Axenic, I want to make sure that the online world is safe for everyone. When I'm not working, I like to listen to music and take walks in Wellington city. One of my favourite places to visit is the Te Papa Museum, and I really enjoy exploring art galleries, especially those featuring Van Gogh's works.
