We’re pleased to share that Axenic has been accepted onto the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) Trust Framework Authority (TFA) panels as an independent evaluator for both the security and privacy panels.
This appointment recognises our deep expertise in information security and privacy assurance, and Axenic’s continued contribution to building trusted digital services in Aotearoa.
What is the Trust Framework Authority?
The TFA is part of the Digital Identity Services Trust Framework, a government initiative to ensure digital identity services in New Zealand meet consistent, reliable, and transparent standards. Managed by the DIA, it supports a future where individuals and organisations can trust that their digital identity information is safe, secure, and handled with integrity.
Independent evaluators like Axenic are critical to this process. We are responsible for assessing that providers meet the required privacy and security requirements set out by the framework, helping to build confidence in New Zealand’s digital infrastructure.
Why this matters
Digital identity is a growing part of our everyday lives—whether it’s logging into government services, applying for a mortgage, or verifying your age online. But trust in these systems is only possible when strong privacy and security protections are in place.
Axenic is proud to support this goal by contributing independent expertise to the TFA. Our involvement reinforces our commitment to robust, risk-informed assurance services that help organisations operate with confidence.
We’re excited to support a safer, more trusted digital identity ecosystem for all New Zealanders. Feel free to drop us a line if you are interesting in finding out any more about the TFA and Axenic’s TFA services.
