Today we are extremely delighted to welcome back Ahmed ElAshmawy who will be (re) joining the Axenic team! Ahmed will be returning to our team as our Consulting Practice Lead.
For those who don’t know Ahmed, he worked for Axenic for four years starting with us way back in 2015! Ahmed took up a role as a Group Information Security Manager at Meridian Energy in 2018 where he was responsible for the overall information security posture of the Meridian Energy Group.
Over the last couple of years Ahmed and the team at Axenic have kept in touch and we are very excited to have his knowledge and expertise as a crucial part of our team once again.
About Ahmed:
Ahmed is an information security professional with deep and diverse experience in leading organisations. He has a multifaceted skill set including governance, risk, assurance and compliance, technical and instructional skills. Ahmed has delivered ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, Risk Assessment, SOC, information security awareness and training projects to clients within the financial, industrial, government, media, telecom and energy sectors in New Zealand, Egypt and across the Arabian Gulf region.
As part of Ahmed’s new role as a Consulting Practice Lead, he will be focusing on continuing to support and build the specialist governance, risk and assurance skills across our team and working with the Axenic leadership team to set the strategic direction of our future security offerings.
