We’re very fortunate that our team here at Axenic is made up of a number of passionate and experienced women. In support and recognition of International Women’s Day this year (Sunday 08 March 2026), we asked four of our team members to introduce themselves and their roles.

In her role as Consulting Lead, Lisa shepherds a team of consultants within the wider Axenic team, as well as specialises on helping customers to improve their information security maturity by providing practical, realistic advice. “I offer tailored and relevant advice whether it be as a virtual CISO or when helping an organisation to implement (and become certified against) international security standards”.
Kinza Sarwar – Senior Security Consultant

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and spending quality time with family and friends.

As an Information Security Consultant, I strongly believe in a proactive approach to security to make sure that the online world is safe for everyone.
When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring Aotearoa – from well-known destinations to the most remote corners, always curious to learn and discover something new.

Having worked in the projects/delivery space for more than 10 years, I believe that clear processes, thoughtful planning, and a pragmatic approach are the foundations for success. One of the things I love about working at Axenic are the incredibly smart and aspirational wāhine I get to work alongside!
As an organisation, Axenic supports and encourages diversity within the workplace. Creating an environment where women feel valued is important to us. We are very fortunate to have a workplace where our employees can be themselves and participate in every part of our business. Recent research shows that 30% of cybersecurity workers are women and this number is expected to rise to 35% by 2031. This looks about right to us as we are sitting right in the middle of this at the moment with 33% of the team being women.
We are always on the lookout for people to join us as we continue to support diversity in the workplace and right now we are looking for GRC Consultants. Does this sound like you? Interested in joining the Axenic team? check out our recruitment details and drop us a line.
